Etang de Janine is an 18acre lake and is situated on the banks of the river Loir.

The lake is fully tree lined and has 14 purpose built swims with 6 being doubles, all are well spaced out and are very flat and comfortable.

The lake depths range from 3 to 9ft with the average being 8ft. The lake bed is packed with features, gravel bars, gullies & plateaus along with weed beds and pockets of silt which can be found around the lake.

The margins are lined with over hanging trees and bushes and should not be ignored. The whole complex is fully fenced in making it a very safe and secure environment.

Etang de Janine is home to a healthy head of specimen Carp and Catfish, paradise.

When the present owners took over, the lake already contained a large head of fish, but before any further stockings took place over 3 tonnes of small and nuisance fish were removed, the owners then added over 100 Mirrors and Commons with weights in excess of 45lb to back up the already large head of original fish, which had been stocked by the previous owners, so there could be a few big surprises in there.

The stock in Etang de Janine is made up of Mirrors, Commons and a small head of Grass Carp. The lake also received an additional stocking of 40 catfish in excess of 50lb. We also know that the lake has a number of Sturgeons in, though none have been banked as of yet, they have been seen jumping clear of the water.

Over 80% of our visitors to Etang de Janine have smashed their Pb’s, with many returning home with new pb’s in excess of 40lb.The lake also contains other species, Tench, pike, zander roach, eels and black bass.

Etang de Janine is home to David & Karen, they are very proud of their lake and the facilities they have installed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Around the lake you will find purpose built picnic areas and BBQ facilities, each have been placed near to the swims offering generous views of the lake and the surrounding area.

The shower and toilet facilities are immaculately kept with ample hot running water, available day or night. A freezer is available for storing your bait as well as plug points for charging your batteries/cameras/boats. A daily shopping service is also available.

The bailiff is on hand every day; he will remove all your rubbish and answer any of your carpy queries you may have.

To compliment the facilities at Etang de Janine, a food package is also available at an additional charge; All of your meals will be delivered direct to your bivvy, on offer is, A full English breakfast and an Evening meal.
